About Us

Art Jam WA is a social enterprise based in Boorloo (Perth), founded by Ellie and Cheryl in 2021.
Our goal is to improve mental wellbeing in our communities using arts and creativity.

We run inclusive and accessible art workshops in Perth and greater WA for teens and adults.

Ellie is a community arts worker who is passionate about using the arts for mental health. She has a Diploma in Animation from SAE, and a Cert 4 in Graphic Design.

Ellie has extensive experience in the community services sector, working with DADAA as an arts worker for people with disabilities for 3 years. She has experience in Reggio Emilia early childhood learning, and 3 years experience in aged care.

Ellie is a talented artist and designer, creating anything from digital work to interactive installations. She has also coordinated and managed workshop spaces at Festivals for several years.

Our Team

We have expanded our tiny team to include more of Perth’s creative talent. All have some kind of mental health awareness, via lived experience and/or training.

Talea studies psychology and is passionate about working with young people with mental health concerns, and in particular Autism.

Talea runs Art Jam workshops at Ballajura Library, Perth Children’s Hospital, and occasional events.

Our volunteers and contractors.

As Art Jam grows, we enlist the help of awesome creatives who are knowledgable or have lived experience with mental health. You may see our team delivering workshops with us or on our behalf.
